I havent seen Lexi for a few weeks. She must've done it. "Joe door" Mom yelled from downstairs. I sighed and put the paper and pen down. Writing was the only thing that kept me together at this moment. I hurried down the stairs and came face to face with "Lex, what are you doing here?" I asked, leaning agaisnt the door. She shrugged and looked down playing with her hands. "They wouldn't let me do it." She whispered. I sighed and pulled her into a hug. "They said I was three months now. That it's too late and I have to carry the baby to full term." She started to sob and I rubbed her back gently. Kevin and Nick finally came home from going out with dad. "Kids, let's go through the kitchen door" Dad whispered. "It'll be okay Lex." I told her. She shook her head and pulled away, wiping away a tear. "How will it be okay Joe?! Can you please explain that to me? I'm pregnant! With your baby! Our baby. A baby that is going ruin you, your family, your career. I wanted to get rid of it, I wanted it gone. But they wouldn't let me. Joe how can we do this? Adoption is only thing now." I let her continue to rant on and on. Adoption. That's what needs to happen then. "Honey, calm down. We'll give the baby up. If you do not want to take care of the baby, we'll give it up." I told her, wrapping my arms around her again. She smiled and nodded. She stopped crying. "I have to talk to my father. Everything is going to get tough Lex. But don't you worry alright? Ignore the haters and the threats. I know it's going to be tough, but baby it'll be just fine. Things happen" She nodded and hugged me. "Joe, I don't want you to be hated." I sighed. "I won't be the best person in the worlds eyes for a while, but it'll blow over. Don't worry." I smiled, kissing her nose. She smiled and placed a hand on her stomach. Already a bump could be seen. " Rumors will spread, but just ignore them babe." She sighed and nodded. "Go home, sleep, rest up. I'll take you to dinner tonight." She bit her lip and nodded. "I love you Lex." "I love you too Joe."
"If that is what you and Lexi want, then it is fine with me and your mother." Dad said. I told him everything and he agreed. "We will try to keep the papers out of this, but you know those paparazzi's and their ways." He mumbled, drinking his tea. I nodded and put my dish away. "Your being strong about this Joe, I'm very proud." I looked up at him and gave a small smile. I still disappointed him. He should stop lying, being proud. Who would be proud of a failure like me. "Joe, can you play with me?" Frankie asked, holding out his toy truck. I nodded and sat with him in the living room. "Vroom Vroom" He giggled. "Honk honk" I crashed into his toy truck. "Joeeee!" He whined. I laughed and shook his head of hair. He crossed his arms. "you aren't suppose to kill my driver! I was suppose to crash yours and steal the money from your truck so I could save the princess taken by the evil doctor booger and then get a reward by marrying her and becoming the king of the whole world." I laughed.
