In time for the green holiday, here at last is the rare Earth Day Special with a cast of many and cameos of the sort as Danny DeVito gets shanghighed to watch the speical, while Robin William's praises from man causes Mother Eath to get ill.

I don't think that is the point at all. Mother Earth / Bette Midler actually says it's not the Earth that she is worried about, but the creatures in it... I think the whole point is sustainable, non-destructive behavior. No preaching, just a plea to help out by being responsible and realizing we do not act in a vacuum. No one is calling you uncaring or Hitler. There is no blame, only concern. <3

Here we have Robin Williams, who seems like a decent person. He discusses about how awesome and great mankind is and all the great things we've done for the planet. Also, no one here in this scene seems to be doing anything harmful to the planet. But despite these qualities, This woman who claims she's mother earth looks down on them with a frown. DONT BLAME EVERY LAST HOMO SAPIEN FOR POLLUTING THE PLANET. this is no way to help save this planet. In fact, so many items have brought us together.

how dare they make us feel less caring than them. What? is my life not as important as yours? You think that the simple act of throwing away a plastic cup in a trash can makes me like hitler. I might use paper, but that don't mean I like to just randomly buzzsaw a sycamore tree like there's no tomorrow.

I am a human being. And I love being a human being. I cherish some of things we've given to this planet. I for one am sick and tired of these stupid specials that make us feel like terrible people. For the record, I think that those self righteous, tree hugging, vegan deep ecologists are more selfish than most people. All they do, is preach and bitch about how terrible of a species we are and show how superior they are among the rest of us.

Wow, Danny was acting like an earlier version of Frank Reynolds in this special, LOL!

On a side note, I remember them shoving this in our faces at school. Whenever we had a substitute teacher, they would pop this in the VCR and play the crap out of it. They didn't hold back when it came to scaring the crap out of us when we were kids. Of course, back in the '90s, it was all about saving the environment at the time and having anti-smoking campaigns. Thanks for uploading, very fond memories.
