Corvette has tire failure at 230mph while trying to set speed record at th Texas Mile in Goliad. Driver walked away and was not hurt. COPYRIGHTED

didnt look like it slammed hard, looked like it could of been much worse, like a endless flip.... its like it floated for a bit and then just glided along... pretty impressed and glad it came out that way!

This was our car. The Hinson Motorsports Texas Mile Corvette set a new speed record for a Corvette body on the previous pass of 224mph. We were running 230mph when the wheel/tire failed just after the 3/4 mile mark. Thanks for sharing.
