  • If it's not justifiable to pick up a gun to end slavery then when is it justifiable?

John Brown is one of the finest men who ever lived.

  • Not a single good movie has been made about this true American "Freedom Fighter".

  • @MrDickMoore

    Wow, you are really dumb.

  • ‎"As Lincoln explained in his famous Cooper Union speech, 'John Brown’s effort was peculiar. It was not a slave insurrection. It was an attempt by white men to get up a revolt among slaves, in which the slaves refused to participate. In fact, it was so absurd that the slaves, with all their ignorance, saw plainly enough it could not succeed.'” From a recent Disunion article in the New York Times.

  • @ChristonamotorcycIe Indeed. It's laughable the way that even John Brown sympathizers refuse to simply proclaim their support for his actions.

John Brown was a hero, perhaps the greatest that America has produced, full stop.

  • Hero.

  • @ChristonamotorcycIe the most ironic part of john brown getting caught is that ROBERT E. LEE led the group for the UNITED STATES that captured him and also hanged him talk about ironic times lol

  • @eflint1 Due process? Like the slaves got? How about comparatively people in death camps in Europe? Did they have the right moral or otherwise to resist the Nazis? Oh but slavery blacks, I guess they're not human, yes the Dredd Scott case says that they're 3/5ths human right?

  • @stew3128561 And I bet you'd fully support giving Osama Bin Laden due process if he were captured, oh but not those evil white Southerners!! , and America was never "complicit in the enslavement of an entire continent" in spite of what your humanities teacher taught you. John Brown is burning in hell right now with Stalin and Hitler. Please extend our "warmest" wishes (he he) to all of them when you see them.

  • @eflint1 When a society that proclaims it has 'due process' is complicit in the rape, murder, and enslavement of an entire continent, due process ceases to be anything but a farce. John Brown is the finest American who ever lived, and if you disagree with him you agree with the genocide of slavery, no way around it.

  • John Brown forgot about that little thing called "due process of law". You who support him are nuts. No wonder the South wanted to secede.

  • @bjpw1234 The first person his gang of thugs killed at Harpers Ferry was a free BLACK trying to stop them.
