  • How can I make the headphones sound louder? I connected the device to an output on back of tv. The volume on the headphones is on 10. I wish it could sound louder! Maybe I need an amp?

  • @esco1185 Sounds like you’ve plugged them into the line out, which is normally used to connect an amp; this outputs a constant volume irrespective of the TV volume. You might be able to boost the output volume to this port in your TV settings.

If your TV has a dedicated headphone port, plugging them in there should work, because if it’s too quiet you can crank up the volume on the TV. Doing that will probably silence the TV’s output though, so it wouldn’t be practical long term.

  • Failing that, you probably need an amp. A big home cinema system is probably excessive (unless you want one, of course). You can get dedicated headphone amps that are designed to do this that should cost a bit less.

    Hope that helps, Andy

  • i thought the base station were also speakers

  • @superjmman Nope, the base station is just a transmitter and charging pad.

  • does it give the surround sound?..or anyway how is the movie experience?? i mean does it really gives u the home theater experience and stuff...thats one thing im really worried about...does it worth it?

    thankyou.

  • @asimmalik1988 No, these are stereo headphones, containing only left and right channel. As they have good sound quality, punch bass and good volume they will provide a good movie experience but not a surround sound one.

If surround sound is important to you, you might want to take a look at the Sony MDR-DS6500 headphones. Although I have not tested those, so I can’t vouch for their quality or how good the surround sound effect would be.
