Health Insurance Reform For Young Adults

Speaker Pelosi, Congressman Chris Van Hollen, and Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper joined a coalition of 20 youth organizations from 30 states for a press conference this afternoon in the Capitol to announce a key provision impacting young adults in health insurance reform legislation. The provision allows young Americans to remain on the their parents insurance through the age of 26. Also speaking at the conference were: Ari Matusiak from the Young Invincibles, Erica Williams from Campus Progress, and Krisja Hendricks.

First, I am not an idiot, and I resent the assertion. I believe in capitalism, which is not the present system. If you believe that the current system is capitalism, you need to learn what capitalism actually is. Then if you wish to disagree with capitalism, so be it -- we won't agree with each other, but at least we'll know what we are talking about.

The capitalism we have now is insurance companies competing to see how much money they can squeeze out of people. Not a single insurance company is competing for low premiums. So SOMETHING has to change, and I think this is a step in the right direction.

Congressman Pelosi is immoral and dishonest. She should be ashamed of herself.  I disagree with everything she says about reforming medical care. What we really need is individual rights and capitalism. Deregulate now!
