a pickup demo. presented by Marin Debelic. Note: I meant to say that the pickups are NOT wax-potted. I don't work for Seymour Duncan.

  • @tomsprl sounds like you wired them out of phase

  • I put a Seth Lover and a Pearly Gates into my Nik Huber Orca and despite the fact that it is hand made Germany and equipped with hand made German pickups it now sounds much better.....better than my VOS Les Paul...oooooops that is really a bit upsetting!!!!!!!!!!:(

  • @Vizillar2505 in both neck and bridge, i suppose

  • I'm a little confused...so seth is in the bridge or neck position?

  • Very nice vid! After I saw this, it helped me decide to put one of the in the bridge position of my Warmoth Strat. It's a keeper. Hard to describe - bright but thick at the same time. Really good for surf and classic early rock type sounds.

  • @bumskitch

I'd reccommend 59 bridge and Seth neck. They can be a bit output (Seth lovers) but nothing a good overdrive pedal can't change.

  • @tomsprl

    normal. Seth are vintage output...

  • i know it isnt meant for heavier stuff? but is it like really impossible to play hard on these pick ups, i get sort of a muddy sound? can i do any thing tone wise about it?

  • Thanks for the video, I just recently put Seth Lover pup to my Ibanez PM35. the result is underwhelming: the output is about 50% of the original pup and guitar sounds very nasal:

Is it normal or did I do anything wrong?

  • Marin, that second demo u nailed Larry C. All sounded fantastic, great job. Looking for humbuckers for my next Warmoth build and these could be a nice choice. SD should hire you to do demos on his site. :)
