Good point of view, but for me the Graphic Novel is better than the movie, one of my favorite characters is Veidt and his backstory is completely absent in the movie which makes him a very superficial character and matthew goode(the actor who played veidt) was horribly miscast. The Comedian and Rorschach however were amazing Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jackie Earle Haley deserved more recognition.

i liked the whole... Rorschach being more brutal justice not really a good guy (Tying the guy up and making him saw himself) rather than emotional justice and being a good guy (him snapping and axing him)
imo i never viewed rorschach as a good guy... until like... his last seconds alive... maybe thats why
i thought the comic was ..... millions of times better than the movie

i think as a medium each has it's own strengths and weaknesses. i could easily watch the movie again and again and i've read the comic like 5 times now. and I actually prefer the movie ending.
wtf was up with ozymandias costume in the movie? why not just give him a big neon sign that says "HI! I'M THE BAD GUY!" i really liked the colors of his original costume if not the overall design. if they had made his costume more colorful i don't think it would have been nearly as obvious.

I stand corrected then. :)

Yep! I paid careful attention at that scene, because that dialogue is my favorite throughout the entire comic/movie, and I wanted to be sure that they didn't foul that scene up.

Really? I watched it just last night and coulda sworn it was edited.
I've yet to read the graphic novel for lack of money but I can say I loved the movie. you were talking about the part with the little girl and the way you describe it the setting the house on fire just seems to light hearted where as bashing his head open with a cleaver just felt more necessary in that instance.

I really wouldnt call handcuffing a guy and leaving him with his only hope of survival being sawing off his arm elsewise he'll burn to death, light hearted.

I dunno what I was saying, I had just finished watching Dragonball Evolution when I wrote that, I didn't mean light hearted, I think Rorschach would have been too outraged to just handcuff him and set his house on fire, I'd definitely take a cleaver to the dude's head. btw Dragonball Evolution, worst movie I've ever seen.
