do you have good plant growth with these?
they look like they should provide enuff of the proper spectrum. is algae a problem? you know that neons teras and their relatives [cardinals, blacks etc.] are food for discus in the wild? learned that one the hard way.

Not only that, but I also have amano shrimps in there, which is supposed to be their "favorite" food... they seem to not care since there is so much movement in the tank, with the cardinal school and the rummynose tetras. Pretty awesome :)

I've had no algae issues at all, the plants out compete everything in the tank, constant pearling. The cardinals used to be food for my discus, until someone told me a trick at how to get them to cooperate together. They told me to feed the discus a lot before bed, turn off the light, THEN put the cardinals in. They were apparently associating them as what comes into the tank is food during the daylight hours. That and I bought 36 of them to put in there, hoping that the school keeps them safe
