Every HDTV buyer is faced with the same options right off the bat: LCD, LED or plasma? How do you decide which is right for you? Why, ask Robert and Patrick, of course! They'll give you a list of things to consider when making your decision. Watch the video for help deciding which tech is best for your situation.
I have a basic Sony flat screen passed down to me. It leaves the ghost/residual images of everything I watch. I don't think it's plasma but I'm not sure. I was under the impression plasmas were HD while mine is just a flat screen. Nice for the time but I don't think you see them much anymore. My question is simple: is there anything I can do to fix this problem or is my tv basically screwed? I admit I did it to myself leaving my PS3 on ALL THE TIME. I knew it was stupid but left it on anyway. ?

plasma is the best and its older technology then LCD and led...so its a surprise when i got a plasma 2011 model tv and it had way better picture quality then lcd and some of the leds as well..plasma actually looks better in a dark room rather then a bright room.led and lcd harsh on the eyes not plasmas

If I could travel back in time and not believe the hype on LCD, I'd only own 1 and that's because they don't make 37" plasmas any more.

I can only game on my plasma TVs, all 3 of my LCDs give me serious headaches. The motion blur is much more noticeable to the point to where it's unbearable. I have absolutely no problem gaming on my plasmas at zero burn in what so ever. "LED" is LCD, and most models are nothing more than an edge lit variation of a failed attempt to make LCD as good as plasma (full array local dimming with all 2.1 million pixels being independent of the others..which never happened).

Plasma is the best.Be sure to ask yourself if you want to spend up to $300 or more for a bulb when it burns out on your LCD.

plasma is better in every way. the only disadvantage is screen reflection. plasma has better viewing angles, black levels, natural colors, smoother motion, they're cheaper........etc
Lcds are for suckers for advertisements. they are cheaper and easier for manufacturers to make.
