Why so much hate for this? Flames from exhaust are not that rare on a modern bike - they have SAI (secondary air injection) into the exhaust system to burn off the last bits of fuel in the exhaust gasses. This can lead to flames from exhaust, especially with a straight through performance pipe and decat. Its actually good for the environment (kinda)! Some people need to chill a bit...

@MrSberube... couldn't have said it better! Is most likely the ex. gasket, could be a bad tune (blue is usually a lean-out condition, red/orange being rich) or could just be the factory tune w/ the aftermarket pipe. My 02 was US made, but I've heard Brit/Aussie TL's have a piss map from the factory if the vin is a certain series.

Looks cool! but a very bad thing and makes for big power loss on the tl's they call it a decell misfire chances are that the rear gasket from the head pipe to the tail pipe is junk! i replace mine yearly ! to bad your brother sold the bike! It takes real men to ride TL'S
