This song was released on the group's 3rd LP "Hand Cut" in 1983, and also appeared on the B side of the "When We Were Young" single the same year.
This version is taken from the 12" picture disc single. Although you can find the song on the "Hand Cut" Cd, in this video you can hear the complete intro of the song, as on the Cd there is no pause between the end of "I Do It All For You", (the previous song) and the begining of "Where the Ending Starts". Anyway, they are the first 12 seconds or so.
This is one of my BF favorites, full of Andy Hill's early 80s production trademark.
@FatknackerMacca Yeah, same here! , if someone please understand what's Jay singing at the end, post it! :)

@FatknackerMacca I have always thought the same about the pic... I think it's more suitable for a "My Camera Never Lies" or "The Land of Make Believe" pic disc than the actual release indeed.

Good choice of b-side to showcase Jay's natural vocal in contrast to the more dramatic "Hazel o' Connor" style vocal she used for When We Were Young. Thought the decorating pic would have been used for the Splash Tour, rather than the shot taken from Rules of the Game which was used, as it would have been more in keeping with the theme.

Pleasant enough tune with nice lyrics like remember the warm nights wrapped in love, but the last verse seems like Andy was running out of ideas for what to rhyme with starts. There's some indistinct singing too - can't hear "now" at the beginning of now words get in the way, and I've never been able to quite make out what Jay sings towards the end as it starts to fade. The fun decorating pic isn't really suitable for When We Were Young or this!
