heres a easy way to turn and old feeder into a bump feeder or make a new one.gonna need a wooden dowel.determine how low you want the dowel to hang.(for hogs or not)cut dowel to desire lenght.screw 2 to 4 screws at the top of the dowel.(2 to 3 in screws or nails)dont go all the way through.this is what will keep the dowel from falling through the barrel or bucket.you can also drill a hole through the dowel and use a long bolt or matal rod.(if you have this probaly would work best and last longer)next if dealing with an old feeder, remove timer.take off funnel or cone from bottom of barrel.if theres not one,you can find these at any store that has a hunting department.your dowel also needs to be able to fit through the funnel as well.take your dowel, place it in the barrel(or bucket).then take the funnel and slide it up the dowel.want the larger end towards the barrel(just like it was in the feeder).get it about a half inch space.put some corn in the barrel.adjust the height of the funnel so that corn only falls if dowel is moved.(not sitting still)then take some screws and screw them into the bottom of the funnel.prevents it from sliding down.and your set.you now have a bump feeder.if you are going to use a bucket for this and hunt hogs, make sure its a metal bucket.they'll tear it up if not.make sure to get a measurement on the small hole on the funnel so you know what size dowel to get.if starting from scratch, make sure not to cut the hole in the bottom of the barrel bigger than the top of the funnel.any questions just ask.thanks for watching Bohemian Hunting Club

  • we used the longer dowel so the hogs would bump it as their eating. thats why we got it low. thx for watchn!!

  • @proline155 hang it higher or shorter dowel

  • put hog/cattle panels around it. 3 ft 1's x 16ft,pick'em up at tractor supply.youll need bout 4 of them and at least 9 tpost,5 footers. put corn in there for deer or a feeder, put the corn for the hogs out of the pen.this will keep out the hogs, really cant stop the squirrels!!if you have a timer you can put a cage under it to slow them down.any more questions just ask! thx for watch'n and hope this helps!!
