He isn't depressed. The concept of the album is an author writing a collection of short stories, then periodically reflecting on the stories themselves. This is one of the reflections, which actually encompasses most of the stories on the album. It then goes to say that he ISNT( I'd use italics if i could, CAP lock looks angry) alone, that everyone goes through troubles, and that he shouldn't be so sad about his own troubles(mentioned in first song off the album) :) its a great album concept!

Depression is a mindset? No honey, depression is a mental illness that you can't control. IF he was depressed, its not like he could have helped it. Saying, "they do it to themselves" is not true. People with depression can't help that they are depressed. Yes, they can get medication and help, but it isn't guaranteed to work.
