Tchaikowsky's Romeo and Juliet Overture recorded by Leopold Stokowski and the Philadelphia Orch. for Victor in 1928. Actually, its his "arrangement" of the piece. Lush sound. Awkward stopping points. The theme was used a lot in love story and horror pictures in the 1930's. BTW, check out www.stokowskisociety.net.
I agree this is no longer Tchaikowsky, but rather Stokowski after Tchaikowsky. Luscious sound anyway.

Yes, I was really amazed how unusual this Stokowski arrangement is. Listening this on the Borgia machine was one of my best experience I've had during my stay in your place three months ago...(already!)
