This is WangFuJing (王府井), a shopping strip in downtown Beijing. This was taken in spring. I've been told that it becomes much more crowded during summertime.

  • Grass your mom? Are you sure you're Chinese?

    It's 操.

Yesterday I was in Wangfujing meeting a friend from Canada. He had been scammed (被骗了) into a tea house with way-overpriced tea, and the lady was expecting to come to dinner with us. In our conversation I said 'cao' and she was sooo offended. But she should go 'f' herself for ripping my friend off then expect to be treated to dinner. Ah Wangfujing, one of the few things I dislike about Beijing.

  • i ran this road at night, singing with my friends.. until we made it to the night market.

  • what happened then? get flabbergasted at the ridiculous overpriced-ness of the night market? and their unwillingness to negotiate on prices even though it's the end of the night? that was my experience at the night market. that, and eating cow balls.

  • I've noticed that despite the international brands there the street layout and building designs just screams communist architecture. Nothing really gels and all you witness is a sea of concrete...

  • oh wow, i've been there! good times! china is awesome.

  • haha, not really. But then again, I wasn't spending my own money. Our school gave us 200 kuai to pay for whatever we wanted to eat :)

  • No they don't. They want to swindle you. They will want to take you to a small cafe or Tea house where you will get extremely overcharged. They somehow make a profit from the money they make you spend.
