Variseal® PS gives superior static and dynamic sealing, and has been specifically developed for chemical processing applications. Compatible with virtually all chemicals, the seal has ultra-low leach out with no outgassing. It withstands high pressures in excess of 40 MPa/ 5,800 psi, has thermal stability from -253°C/-423°F to 80°C/176°F and demonstrates exceptional friction characteristics.
The jacket of Variseal® PS can be in Turcon® , the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions proprietary PTFE based material or Zurcon®, a proprietary polyurethane material. The seal is energized by an ultra-pure, metal-free spring and can be supplied clean room washed and packed to Class 100. Available in standard and custom seal designs, the seal is suitable for piston, rod, face, rotary, reciprocating and static situations in medical equipment, semiconductor fabrication and specialized chemical handling.
