@robmasterman Thanks Bob, that load was quite heavy and the gradient there I believe is in the region of 1 in 30. The WHR Garratts are just not driven that hard.

@Garrattpower We are very lucky to have three running on the Welsh Highland Railway, less that 100 miles from where I live, so I can see them working regularly.
