what's really ironic is that these rap videos are like advertising for going to prison, and modern prisons, with their cheap commercial prison labor peddled by white salesmen all over the country, are in essence the return of black slavery.
they lobby for longer, tougher sentencing so they can keep them chained to the sweatshops longer, they feed them garbage and make them work for pennies. they are making a fortune selling the involuntary, virtually unpaid sweat of 1 in 3 black men in the USA.

if blacks get educated on the history of ''blackface'' and the ''minstrel show'' they will disgusted at 90% of this Hip Hop ''culture''..nothing has changed, whites loved those shows to laugh at blacks, now they listen to they're music and laugh even harder, only thing is that before whites acted like blacks, now they hire blacks to make fun of themselves. open ur eyes and research this, stop being ignorant.

@mmurray21 be a good idea to take ODB down...he is god body...not a minstrel..

We get a black president and he doesn't even launch a Federal Investigation into the racist intention of the rap industry.
So much for your change.

Rappers dont write music for a specific audience, just so that people will listen. Stop trying to brainwash people with this BS until you actually think about it

this video really pissed me off. U are trying to make a connection between minstrel shows and rap is just stupid. The rappers like lil' wayne and all of them aren't trying to make the black race look bad, they are trying to create their own image. If anything, the are making rap music look bad. And you forget that there are people like Eminem and Mac Miller who rap too right? And the thing about 70% of rap music is bought by white people, WHO CARES?!

@saldontdoit sorry, misread. i have a word misplacement problem sometimes and thought u said "at least blacks have freedom" in there.

@ajtwista92 care to elaborate on that? Was it the part where I said present day hip hop style makes me laugh or being sensitive about racial humor is pointless?

are you basically sayin black ppl have givn in and became the stereotypical black person as they described in minstrel shows?
