this was a rather provocative book. The scary part is while Id like to say he is crazy for some of the things he says about the evangelical southern religious denominations, the amazing thing is I saw those things with my own eyes BEFORE reading his book....so while people who dont like his views say he is throwing wild accusations, he is quite based in fact for a solid portion of them at the least, if not more then just a portion.

It's not just Americans that 'religion' blinds . It blinds Iranians , Iraqis , Israelis and Saudis etc , and it used to blind people in Ireland . The day is coming when 'religion' will be a minority interest in Ireland . Speed the day!

Kevin Phillips speaks the truth re the US and world economies . That's probably why he's not 'heard' as much as he should be :(

Why is America spending hundreds of billions on wars overseas when in the USA tens of millions have no health insurance -schools are deteriorating , the infrastructure is collapsing and there are 3 million people behind bars while bankers run riot destroying the economy and some 50 million are faced with food insecurity ?
