@aussieadam12 Actually Darcus Howe states that he does not condone the violence that is happening. He simply states that he 'understands it' based on what is happening around the world today. He believes that this all has something to do with the revolution that has swept northern Africa, parts of the Middle East, and now Spain etc... He thinks that the shooting by the London Police was the 'spark' that lit the angry fire ablaze. Again, he does not condone it personally as he stated.

@scribdServius. Except, you can't say the rioting's illegitimate, just because you don't agree with it. Believe it or, in certain areas, police target a certain white-profile too. Just like in predominantly black countries; a certain TYPE will be profiled. Genrally the poor. It's also true that they profile black people in every area where white people are the majority. And, that's statistically consistant the world over. It makes whites feel safe for the most part,by giving the enemy a face.

Amnesty International stated on the Matter of Terrorism and Governments " While governments should of course protect citizens from the threat of terrorism, this threat should never be used to justify the violation of human rights or to repress legitimate opposition and dissent." Notice "Should never be used to justify the violation of human rights or to repress 'LEGITIMATE' opposition and dissent." So Human rights can be removed from ILLIGITIMATE dissenters (terror by rioting).
