Creedence Clearwater Revival - I Heard It Through The Grapevine
Oo, Bet you're wond'ring how I knew
About your plans to make me blue
With some other guy that you knew before?
Between the two of us guys, you know I love you more.
It took me by surprise, I must say,
When I found out yester-day.
Oo,
CHORUS:

I heard it through the grapevine,
Not much longer would you be mine.
Oo, I heard it through the grapevine,
And I'm just about to lose my mind.
Honey, honey yeah.

You know that a man ain't supposed to cry,
But these tears I can't hold inside.
Losing you would end my life you see,
'cause you mean that much to me.
You could have told me yourself
That you found someone else.
Instead,

CHORUS

People say you "Hear from what you see,
Na na not from what you hear."
I can't help bein' confused;
If it's true, won't you tell me dear?
Do you plan to let me go
For the other guy that you knew before?
Oo,

CHORUS

CHORUS

  • @beantownhero09 It's Marvin Gaye's

  • @garin4x4 nope, actually Smokey Robinson & the Miracles recorded it first, then Gladys Knight & the Pips and then came Marvin's version

  • Written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong in 1966, the single was first recorded by Smokey Robinson & the Miracles

  • ME ENCANTAN , ME ENCANTAN ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Good

  • The CCR version on Cosmo's factory is the ultimate "bedroom" music

  • @yim11 LMAO!!!!!!

  • oi 8 track rocks sounds better than most cds lol

  • I like the Marvin version best, then this version. I don't give a diddly squat who sang it first. Didn't care that much for Gladys' version. But then again-didn't care that much about Gladys anyway.
