Part :2 chopping the merc
some quick insight into prepping for the chop including:
- what to do with the "b" pillar (staright post,hardtop,or slant post)
-bracing the inside of the vehicle to prevent body distortion
-and cut layout for the amount of vertical drop vs. material removed on the daigonal front post (this particular chop was dropped 4" vertically but had 5-3/8" of material removed from front pillar)

oh man ,,, you do things the hard way ,i chopped and completed a roof in 40 hours and finshed it in mud...what the heck is the template about ,,, waste of time man, or unless u a rookie,,,,,

@DOGPOUNDBREW I`m kind of a rookie I`ve only chopped about 10 vehicles,but I figure if I spend an extra 10 minutes to find out what my precise drop will be it allows me to get the exact look I want,.. unlike, (to paraphrase a post made by someone regarding this vid) some butcher drinking too many beers on a weekend with a hack saw and magic markers and turning a car into a convertable.so yeah,I argee 40 hrs and 10 min. way too long..wheres ma` beer.
