and they will pop right up

That perception of sound will be different for CI users is clear, though it depends on the implant how much and what they will hear. What kind of simulation is being used in this video? How many 'channels' of stimulation are used?

I find it hard to believe this video, my father got a CI ten years ago, it has improved his life and ours, he recognises songs we play on cd in the car, his favouirite is the sweeney todd soundtrack.He rtecognuises his name and ours,when his back is turned he can almost make out what we are shouting to him (haha)..how is that even possible if the examples you have given are supposte to be true..?? dislike video.
