Counting Swiftys

I passed by the Swift terminal in Minnesota the other day. I use to work for them, and i stop by at the next door truck stop to count how many drivers were parked there versus the terminal.

fairly straightforward and honest video. y the hate? i made good money with swift. dedicated jc penney fleet. driver manager was an asshole though.

@mdl80271 Thank you. I don't know way all the hate. Yeah the best part is the one saying that I was disgruntled. I like swift, trucking just was not for me. I was just in the area and wanted to make a video. nothing else to it no point or anything.

@MisterFlaherty I never cheated on my logs. Plus I never had any big issues with the management. I left more because of family reasons then anything else. I just made the video because I was in the area, and I also thought It was funny that so manny of them parked in the truck stop instead of the terminal which was a lot nicer then the truck stop.

The real question is why are you picking on Swift. I could do this with any company near their terminals. Many times on a weekend or holiday they might have no room. Many times like swift a company grows so fast they outgrow their terminal. Truly I know many people do not understand things. Maybe you worked for them but I know for a fact that the saying "Once you have more than one person you have an organization. All organizations have problems."

at the columbus terminal theres a pilot a couple block away, i park there because theres no stores around the terminal to walk to for drinks and cigs, and everytime im at a terminal i run out of cigs. the only time you have to park at a terminal is if you have a high value load. other then that they dont require you to park there. they prefer you do. and if your leaving the gate you have to log it anyways, because you would be driving. and gps tells the company what we have done everyday.

Again, you're saying they're cheating on their log books because the drivers want to park where there's food at the truck stop, and not at their terminal and there's something to do. THE QUALCOMM TRACKS ALL OF THAT SO THEY CAN'T CHEAT!! What a tool. There are a ton of companies using them, and DOT can see when you're moving, and when you're not with the Qualcomm, and even when you turn the key on, so it makes it impossible to "cheat" on their log books. Maybe you need to watch your video again??
