"Nelly, de la calle Rio IV" is the 2nd of 10 pieces from the suite "Mis Amigos" written by the Argentinian composer Carlos Guastavino in Buenos Aires in August of 1966. In the first measure, Guastavino directs " andante cantabile, un poco sostenuto--ligado, melodioso". In my opinion, Nelly is an innocent child who approaches the world timidly and shyly, always asking questions, but those questions and answers are often tinged with self-doubt. In the end, she finally appears to find contentment and quiet resignation.
@Taioo I recorded the last two, Gabriel and Alina, a couple of weeks ago along with several other pieces. Now I just need to find the time to upload them. Hopefully I will get to it in the next few weeks.
