    Writers beheaded him? Are you aware of the fact that George RR Martin, the AUTHOR of the books had Ned beheaded at the end of the first book? You can't blame the writers, if they'd kept Ned in, the story would've been shit.

    It shows us that in this series, ANYONE can die. That's what makes it so gripping. In other series, you know the hero won't die, but in GOT, you don't know that for sure.

    Besides, as we learn from that event, honour gets you nowhere!

    It should be in the next couple of episodes - I imagine they'll end this series with the Red Wedding so hopefully it'll be our cliffhanger for the year! :D

    Exactly. It makes the story more interesting because you know that your favourite character might not have that happy ending, and it's just so much more believeable. GoT has taken the world by storm and it's not hard to see why. We're used to the heroes in our stories getting the perfect happy ending and knowing that they're going to pull through - we don't know that with GoT. It makes it so much more better.

    And it makes the series more realistic and interesting,it's awesome to have something new,not like a movie that you know the main character is a hero that always wins doesn't matter the situation and never die,but something realistic and different.
