Alexandra LoBianco sings "In questa reggia" from Turandot

The Baltimore Concert Opera was blessed to hear this exciting young soprano at their auditions this year. We expect great things from Ms. LoBianco! A fabulous voice, wonderful musician, and very nice gal. Something tells me that when we schedule the right piece as a vehicle for her, she's going to be famous and we won't be able to afford her! Alexandra, thanks for making our day with this!

I never thought I could say this, but she's a greater Turandot than Birgit Nilsson.

Yes, a warm voice (unusual in Turandot) with solid technique and a certain grandezza. I am concerned when such a young singer with promise starts off her career singing a voicekiller role like Turandot, though. Attenta, come ha detto Tullio Serafin a la Callas quando lei cantava Gioconda, un'altro ruolo molto difficile.

Just came back from hearing Alexandra sing Turandot at West Bay Opera, and her voice is even MORE impressive live in the theatre than it is on this recording.  She has a great career ahead of her!
