Cats in my neighbourhood like to climb into our backyard -- not any more, after installing two low power 900V a/c wires with grounded aluminium foil below them for a more effective kick. Here are two of the more spectacular jumps. The cats are fine. In fact I've tried the wires myself. They will give me an unpleasant numbness if I touch only the hot wire but a much more exciting shock if I touch the grounded foil with my other hand. The cats do come back to renew their excitement, once a long while.

  • Would love to know the step by step set up.Ive tried everything to stop cats pooing in my garden.

I am using a Fi-Shock Light-duty Energizer (a low-power step-up AC transformer) available from Amazon. More powerful ones are probably unnecessary/inappropriate. The wire is a #20 galvanized wire stretched across blocks of insulators. I used 6" long plastic blocks sawed off from "Plastic Limbers" fixed to the ground/wall. You probably would connect the wire to your energizer using another soft coated electric wire. The other energizer electrode should be connected to the ground.

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah I look 50 times again and again and laughing!

  • This is a good Idea to be honest, it's not being mean, it's just keeping them off of your property. My Neighbors have a cat that is mostly indoors and from a first glance at the cat it is well taken care of, however, when let out it pointlessly comes onto our yard and kills birds. It's quite irritating.

  • inadequate for the purpose & unsafe for other animals.

  • @blainelhoward

Good for you!Now stfu and let the other people take care of their property as they like,it's their right. Why should I walk into el. fence?Unlike you I know that walking into el.fence hurts.

  • Ok I don't see the humor in it, but I do see it as being a good way to keep cats out. If cat owners would be more responsible, and not let their cats out, it wouldn't be a problem for others. Or better yet a cat owner should put a fence like this to keep their cats in their own yards. I am a pet lover, and i have had cats, and I have had dogs, and I have been responsible.

  • @Miloshmkd The only creatures on earth that are stupid are human being's like you. Go walk into an electric fence and tell me if hurt's. Did you know Cat's hate noise? Heres an idea they have electrical devices you can buy at any farm and country store that produces a loud squeel that Cat's can hear but we cannot. Their around 30.00 and work. I've tested it myself and I havent had a cat come around my yard in over 6 months when before it was a daily thing.

  • @blainelhoward Yeah a humane way like asking the cat not to come anymore?Maybe the guy want to protect the birds, why should the birds suffer and the cats walks unpunished?btw this is really a good and effective method.Be lucky there are ppl using this method and not the one that includes poisoning and killing the stupid cats.

  • Here kitty kitty. My dogs would fucking love that.

  • "Shocked kitteh - warned kitteh - smoking ball of fur..." :D

  • Theres a much more humane way to do this outside of zapping the cats. And cats hunt birds its their nature? their cats...

when the world ends I really hope they take the stupid first.

  • AWESOME! FUCK THAT CAT!

  • THIS IS NOT FUNNY U BASTERDS!
