I would call Joe Lieberman a libertarian. He is economically conservative (no public option) and socially liberal (gays in the military). More of a Penn&Teller libertarian than an Alex Jones libertarian.

This made me truly want to ABSTAIN from voting in the US Senate race for CA today (Nov 2, 2010). Carly Fiorina -- loser, fired from HP, faux "business expert" can't even run a corp. Yet wants to run CA & has GOP dittoheads gah-gah just because she's Not-a-Democrat. Then there's Boxer, former liberal, usurped her role as Senator of CA, placed Senate cronyism & JOB SECURITY for JOE above interests of USA, undermined entire Dem. agenda for 2.5 years unleashing the spoiler who voted against Dems.

The fact of the matter is that both of these senators are totally apposite in views, but she justed wanted him to win to keep the Democrate majority in senate.
