@MrStephen182 I'm the same way, and I love music in general.
Synthrock and electronic rock are pretty much the same thing. I guess the reason synthrock stuck in my head is the structures of their songs follow general rock dynamics, however their iconic synth melodies drive the direction of most of their songs. If you took out the harsher guitar lines, they would be pretty much be synthpop. One thing I notice that separates them from dance genres, is a lack of of a bass beat in all their songs.

@MrStephen182 Didn't Throbbing Gristle kindly coin the term Industrial (it was the name of the record label), or at least have it applied to their experimental/noise music? I just find TBM too structured and undistorted (not that it is a bad thing) when compared to classic industrial bands. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
