  • I speak fluent hebrew and her accent is horrible. she has a beautiful voice but it is just torture to hear her sing with such a horrid accent. EICHSA!

  • @MsYulifer גם אני מדבר עברית שותפת, ואני די מסכים איתך, המבטא שלה מאוד מעצבן.

  • Could anyone tell me what language is this and what's the song talk about?? Thank you so much! Sorry the English

  • @Leilani828 It's in Hebrew. It's a prayer. It says something like "May God guard my tongue from evil...". Google it.

  • Translation:

O God, keep my tongue from evil

    And my lips from deceit.

Help me be silent in the face of derision,

Humble in the presence of all

    Open my heart

    To Your Teachings.

May the words of my mouth

And the meditations of my heart be acceptable to You,

EternalOne, my Rock and my Redeemer.

  • This song gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. Simply amazing

  • it's hebrew- not aramaic, albanic and not nothing

  • @MsYulifer...you should not expose yourself to such torture...easy to fix, skip this song if it pains you so.

  • @aloysus1984 Perhaps because Jesus was a Jew who spoke Aramaic, the language of this song. Perhaps because Christianity is a sect of Judiasm. Dunno.

  • @Leilani828 Albanian

  • Love this. This whole Pink Martini CD is great. They sing songs from several countries in different languages. Various songs, from the traditional Christmas songs to ones that we don't often hear.

  • This is said as part of the Amidah, a Jewish prayer. It's said three times a day by the very observant.

  • Ó, meu Deus, livra a minha língua do mal e os meus lábios do engano

Ajude-me a ficar em silêncio diante do escárnio e humilde perante todos

    Meu Deus, meu Deus

    Abra o meu coração

Abra o meu coração para as tuas leis.

Que as palavras da minha boca e as meditações do meu coração te sejam aceitáveis.

Meu Senhor, meu Senhor, minha Rocha

Meu Senhor, minha Rocha e meu Redentor
