  • I'm going to buy a Kyocera 135 watt solar panel, a 20v charge controller, and three 6 volt deep cycle batteries to run my camper trailer while I'm building our house. Al Gore can shove his cap and trade electric power tax hike up his ass.. I'm going totally off-grid.

  • Thank you very much for this informative video. Solar energy can indeed help us to reduce energy costs in the long run.

  • cool video! =)

  • green power

  • @flamemange9 Cool, so Al Gore's tax hike is working.

  • are those barsnon the windows

  • @amberjacksolar Yes it can but the price of the panels needs to come way down as they are still far too high. I would think small towns would want to be off the grid and invest in panels for every home as they more than pay for themselves in several years. I did it back in the 70's in Calif, loved it, received a check from electric com every month.

start with what you can afford, then get more. desktop unit at 300 watts for 10 hours needs 3,000(3kw) of storage capacity, using 225 amp hour golf cart batteries would take about 12 @ $100 each, then charging the next day may want 500 watts =2 panels@ $400 each of solar at least, with 8 hours of sun, might be cheaper to lower your load with a laptop? about 60 watts? Best of luck..
