I live in the Ozarks, which is like a little clump of mountains tagging behind the Appalachians. Even though I'm not in the true Appalachians, the Ozarks are a very rich place for folk music and dance. I learned this song on guitar with the help of this recording, and my brother and I are learning how to buck dance to this song together. It's really cool to know that other youngin's like my brother-19 and I-14 are learning about Appalachian culture. Long live folk music!
