British resident Omar Deghayes spent 6 years in Gitmo without a trial. The innocent man was tortured to the point where he is now blind in one eye. The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur explains and ties it in with President Obama's recent signing of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Because America holds itself to a higher standard...the "beacon of liberty" and all that stuff that makes us feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside...so when something like this happens, it runs contrary to the values that Americans presumably believe in.
