Reitwein is a small village,in the district Märkisch-Oderland, in Brandenburg, ,which played an important role as a Soviet base whilst launching the battle for the Seelow Heights and onwards to Berlin.

On 7 April 1945 the Müncheberg Panzer Division counter attacked Soviet positions on the Reitwein Spur in the one of the first ever uses of infra red equipment. The attack was a success but it did not stop Zhukov launching a major assault to capture the Seelow Heights a few days later.

The Soviet cemetary in the village is well kept as can be seen in this film.

  • Millions of germans and europeans gave their life to fight against communism, and they have no memorial.Such monuments dedicated to the bolshevik hordes have no place in Europe!.Europe destroyed by the communism, with their culture and ancient traditions all in ruins. The germans united all european nation during ww2 ,and this Europe lead the crusade against bolshevism.THIS EUROPE WOULD DEFEND THE 3000 YEARS OLD HISTORY AGAINST BOLSHEVISM.

  • @SyberiaDreams What a load of utter nonsense. Millions of Germans did not give up their lives fighting Bolshevism, on the contrary, the Nazis were allied to the Bolsheviks with whom they started WW2 which ended up giving central Europe to the communists. During WW2 the only uniting the Nazis did was against them.

  • @alanheath You know Hitler from beginning proposed a anti-communist front ,but France ,Britain ,Poland refused.Let's not forget The Waffen SS heroism stopped the Soviet juggernaut at Moscow, Cherkov, Cherkassy, and Tarnopol. Without Waffen-SS resistance the Soviets would have been in Normandy before Eisenhower. The people showed deep gratitude to the young men who sacrificed their lives. Not since the great religious orders of the middle ages had there been such selfless idealism and heroism.

  • @SyberiaDreams Without the Nazis conspiring to start the war with the USSR then there would have been no communist occupation of Central Europe and millions of lives would have been saved.

  • @rampking1 Thanks for the support!! There is a lot more WW2 material here which may interest you!

  • @alanheath

Sorry but I throw out all these facts to separate myself from those from the Left and the Right, who sit in front of keyboards, pump their chest out and spew out opinions . Btw, I gave your video a thumbs up

  • @rampking1 OK - so that is clear!

  • @alanheath Right off the bat, I want to make it clear that the intention of my comment was not to criticize your video but the fact this memorial is allowed by Deutschland to remain in place on German soil 20 years after the wall came down and the communists removed.

Also, I never denied German attrocities in the Soviet Union, I am totally aware of the Einsatzgruppen SS campaign of genocide.

    Lastly, Nazi propaganda purposes?

Every point I made is an undeniable FACT, zero propaganda.

  • @rampking1 The Nazis invaded the USSR committing the same crimes on mass that some Soviet troops later committed on German soil. The Nazis were responsible for this and the mass rape of German women was of no interest at all to them except for propaganda purposes.

As for the memorials to Germans I have filmed them. This film is about a Soviet memorial.
