Occupy Vancouvers first Run on the Banks and it has begun. The march was proposed by the Run on the Banks Direct Action committee and was a much needed wake up call for the financial sector and those that do business with them. On the march to the banks the crowd danced and chanted. When they arrived at a bank some facts about the banks ceo salaries and their unethical investments were read to the crowd. They were then encouraged to withdraw their money from the banks and switch to a credit union or other cooperative. Staff were also encouraged to switch their employment to a credit union or a more ethical employer. With music and dancing it was enjoyable for most and an eye opener for all.
