Because the 90% of Russian people are thieves and alchogolics. They are stupid, shabby and wicked, think only about their own profit, nothing else. Thieves like Putin because he allowes criminals to do their dark purposes, and alchogol drinkers wote for Putin because they are the very stupis and ignorant in politics.

@MichaelHollidayJr that same agrument can be said for a U.S city like Miami..I lived there for three years, most tourist vist south beach, coconut grove, coral gables etc. yet miami is one of the poorest cities in the US. has a very high crime rate, high levels of corruption(the russian mafia is very active in miami BTW.) and police brutality. Miami is a trading post for every organized criminal group in america. russian & italian mob, drug cartels, and smugglers.

It's just the way things are, man. After Perestraika a lot of them towns in the middle of no where were left forgoten without goverment funding, and economical prosperity. Stronger get stronger and weaker die off, and surely Putin is keeping all the money that could be used for the best of the nation, but you got to adress the Russian people if you want to make a difference.
