@AddictedTo4x4 I don't have rim locks. They are illegal where I live. I don't want the tyre to come off the rim. My point is, if you are smart enough to build up a rig, then you should be smart enough to let some air out.

How do you figure? Unimog axles have WAY more clearance as they are portal axles. And as for weight, unsprung weight is good for a trail rig as it will allow for more droop, and add more traction to the tire that is drooping.

the engine has 4.4l, it should generate enough torque for crawling and if you hit the pedal to free you out of something, the turbo generate even more torque.
maybe he did it, because he had the money and just wanted to do it?
in europe it's even common to build in NOS into prototypes for having that special kick, when you need it. a williys with mog-axles is indeed a prototyp.
