@MorpherBeats So friend..midi IS the future because more and more people are using VSTI, which are by the way, usually half the price of a keyboard synth, but you still get the same functionality and capabilites if you would sit down and learn some programming. Every year, VSTi's are becoming better and more dependent on a good MIDI. Soon there will be no need to buy keyboard synths unless u got the money or you just can adjust to VSTi.

@MorpherBeats No foooo lol. MIDI is the future cuz softwares, which usually has equal to or greater capabilities than hardware, now requires MIDI to get the most bang for the buck. Also, MIDI's are evolving now, as it has more functionalities than earlier generations. However, the ease of using softwares is a different story, as many musicians still prefer real knobs and sliders because you can modulate on the fly.

@hanfbrot some ppl can't afford hardware!! Besides VSTi's are stepping up man, MIDI is the future.
