CID sleuths are continuously interrogating Kumaran Pathmanathan, better known as KP who dreamt of an Eelam state.
Director General of the Media Centre for National Security Lakshman Hulugalle said Pathmanathan is being grilled at length about others involved in the outfit, so that it could be made defunct in the world. More information is secured on how he raised and remitted funds to the LTTE and procured weapons for the outfit and all those involved in it. Mr. Hulugalle noted that it is also hoped to secure information from him through interrogation of others who desire to revive the tiger outfit.
Investigations have so far revealed that KP had carried out all his rackets from a super hotel complex in Malaysia. Even the Interpol and Indian CID sleuths have issued international warrants against Pathmanathan. KP is reported to have already revealed of weapon agents in many countries. Four passports have been recovered from his hotel room. KP was arrested by the Security Forces. After the demise of Prabhakaran in May this year, he donned the mantle of the LTTE leadership as he was the most senior tiger alive. The target of the Security Forces was KP who attempted to revive the LTTE outfit while staying abroad, despite the routing of LTTE terrorism militarily.
