Stand Against Poverty Pledge 2010 and WAGGGS message

In 2010 world leaders gathered at the Millennium Summit and declared:

We will spare no effort to free our fellow men, women and children from the abject and dehumanizing conditions of extreme poverty, to which more than a billion of them are currently subjected. -- Millennium Declaration

Girl Guides around the world join together to STAND UP, take action and make noise about the MDGs in 2010!

Make your heart beat for the MDGs and send a message to our world leaders that they must keep their promise to meet the Millennium Development Goals:

1.Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
2.Achieve universal primary education
3.Promote gender equality and empower women
4.Reduce child mortality
5.Improve maternal health
6.Combat HIV/AIDs, malaria, and other diseases
7.Ensure environmental sustainability
8.Develop a global partnership for development
