Both games are mods and devs from both games know eachother way before they made CS or UrT.

I know for a fact that all of them played action quake 2 in 1998 togheter and testing eachother maps and stuff like that.

The most funny thing is that UrT becamse better each year unlike CS the moment Valve hired gooseman and his team we got an abomination called CSS which forced valve to make new CS game and modders to create pro mod.

Both games are completly different yet they both are fun to play and require skill unlike modern games that give you certian trick weapons to dominate the map like ac 130 in COD.
