Have you not heard...there was a war over there about sixty years ago ??? It's called the Second World War (or WW2) in which the Americans came over to help the Brits free the Continent from Nazi Germany occupation !

What would your guess be?
Very simple, the US armed forces withdrew many divisions, especially from Germany, overstock material was left behind and sold to private customers. And European armies like the German one also used Reos (e.g. M109) and sold them after having phased them out.

Yes i'm from Holland,and a REO freak!I own a m35 cargo withh winch,1967.I also own a 1943 GMC cckw353 cargo.The m35 was a replacement for the GMC in the u.s.army.The first REOs,the m34 with petrol engine,where used during the korean war.You can see them for example in the M.A.S.H. movie and tv series.
