Many great singers have covered this song. KAREN's version is by far the very best. The reason it's so is because Karen Carpenter truly was the Little Girl Blue in the song. Also, because of her amazing singing voice. She made me believe that every word that she ever sang was a true story about her life.

Even though it is almost cliche' to do so, this is proof that Karen would've been awesome to do an album of standards--seems like her voice was made for a torch song!
