Hi everyone, in this tutorial I wanted to show you how you can use gelatin to create your special effects. its easy to do, and feels like the real mask, removing is really easy too, and the best part its reusable just wipe the fake blood when you remove it and reheat it for your next use, its safe to put on the face but I still suggest apply a small part on your chin. Some people are allergic to latex so this is a great substitute. Send me a video response if you do this I want to see what you come up with. Gelatin has a bad odor so try adding some scent to it to remove the odor, you can use vanilla flavor, any mint color should work good too, but I used banana flavor since I like the smell of it. you can also add 2-3 packets of gelatin, if you want a smooth finish try adding 1 1/2 to 2 packets of gelatin.

  • can you use corn syurp instead of the glycerine stuff let me know

  • @death54013 im not sure coz the corn syrup might give u a diff feel to it and will be a little sticky, but feel free to try. The glycerin is light and comfortable so even if u wear it on ur face its ok, and its also reusable u can wash it too if u like to get the makeup out

  • i did it! was terrorific!!!! hahahahaha

    What's the song?????

    thanks !!!! ;-D

  • @lyzvamp thanks im glad you love it :) i believe the song is by avril called "power"

  • I've always wondered why unflavored gelatin?

  • @zombhunt23 sometimes the flavored gelatin can stain the skin :)

  • how exactly do you remove gelatin and latex? does it just peel off?

  • "2 or 3 packets of gelatin" but.. how much? can i please get some measurements in gram or something, cuz mine isn't working out the way i want it to :(

  • do you need to use foil if adding to face? because i need to be able to sing while my face is all disfigured?

  • the gelatin i purchased says to be mixed with water, does this make much of a difference will it still work to create this effect?

  • @SlimKaci Another way for covering the shiny part is mixing some of the gelatin with some fake blood, and covering the hole with that. Or if you want a bone to show just a bit, you can make a mold for it first, let the piece dry, apply it in the middle where the bone would be, paint it white, and then add the mix of gelatin and fake blood on the sides.

  • a few things, showing close up of the mixing process was nice, the song is perfect, but the BOX for the words is AWFUL and so annoying, it kept covering half the screen! Also I was wondering if you have ever tried painting the tin foil first for a better effect, maybe black for a deeper wound or burn kind of look, or white to look like Bone is showing (rather than seeing shiny silver show through). The silver could look cool though if you were doing some kind of skin peeling off a robot effect.

  • Glycerin? Whats that and where do I get it?????

  • where can you get the other stuff
