The first Leg of the 1976 "Louder Than Concorde(but not quite as pretty)" Tour took Elton and his band through the UK and this was the second night at Earl's Court in London. May 12th 1976. The back up singer in the bright striped shirt is Cindy Bullens, a Boston girl who crashed an MCA party in 1975 and was asked if she'd like to go on the road for the West Of The Rockies Tour and the rest is history. Cindy would have her first hit in 1979 with a song called "Survivor". For Elton this was his peak for sure! Enjoy!!!

  • Second of All Mr. Know It All. I was there! My tour program Clearly states "West Of The Rockies Tour" It was only in states West Of The Rockies. The Album it supported was Rock Of The Westies. Second of all the Videos posted are from the 76 Louder Than Concorde(But Not Quite as Pretty) Tour. The Earl's Court Shows May of 76.

  • It was actually the "Rock of the Westies" Tour. But, yes, it can easily be confusing.

  • @bevhenss1 @potterpoet No it was the "West of The Rockies" Tour. No confusion here. Do some research.

  • I went to a concert on this tour. I remember the middle back-up singer being particularly distracting. Sell-out crowd in Foxboro MA and record cold temps with a biting windchill on The Fourth of July, 1976! No one cared though, lots of weed being passed around old Schaeffer Stadium that night.

  • You couldn't have went to the July 4th show because it was unbearably HOT that day. There was very little wind that day as well. Maybe you went to the Buffalo show. It was rainy and cold for that one. No matter, any show on the US Louder Than Concorde tour was Great. I still have my ticket stub from the July 4th show, and was lucky enough to recnetly interview Cindy Bullens who was his back up singer for his 75 & 76 tours.

  • @russelljdj First of all, smart alec comments such as "Do your research!" when you are talkng to someone who was at those shows on the Rock of the Westies tour is quite arrogant on your part. If YOUR research was done correctly, you'd have the entire list of his albums and tours and I assure you it was Rock of the Westies, I am looking at the cover of my autographed album right now. You can pull up a list of his albums and release dates anywhere.

  • @ranatlas : You're correct. I also saw Steve Millar in 77 but its been so long I seem to have meshed the two concerts together. Either that or I was inhaling a bit too much.

  • @auggiedoggy I went to the Buffalo concert in '76 too, at what was then called Rich Stadium. I remember John Miles opened the show, and remember Boz Scaggs, but don't remember Steve Miller Band playing that day?

  • @analieproductions this makes me wish i wasnt born in 96

  • cocaine is one hell of a drug...

  • can someone tell me what instrument is making that funky noise at :49 sec mark(synth like piano maybe?) someone help cause ?? Let me know if u do please much appreciated!
