  • " If he stays on his heels he might actually jerk this " Can you explain this to me? I do a little bit of olympic lifting but my technique/knowledge is awful.

  • ahhahahahahahahahha at the wall after spencer misses at 11:00

  • @dwb464 Isn't it obvious? Someone fell on their ass.

  • @bobbyatopk Just do more front squats!

  • @bobbyatopk Well as far as snatches compared to front squats, it's normal to be able to do more in the latter than the former, but snatches rely on the motion of the back squat rather than front, which suggest there's only limited correlation between front squat and snatches. If you think it's some issue with your back being stronger than your legs, it's probably a technical issue where you don't start in a low enough position. On the other hand, some people are disproportional.

  • @EndlersaurusRex its strange. my theory is that i have a strong posterior chain compared to my quads. so i can pull quite quickly but i dont have the quads to front squat. i can snatch 102.5kg yet i struggle to front squat 110. not normal. i saw your 120 clean, it looked nice, thats the weight i want to get to balance out my clean and snatch.

  • @bobbyatopk I thought I had a similar problem to that, but it resolved itself when I started doing full cleans and front squats more frequently. If you don't do either very often, it's likely inexperience with the motion resulting in you power cleaning more than either of those two lifts; physically speaking you should be able to front squat or full clean more than a power clean because you pull the weight less distance. Your lower body should be stronger, so it should be easier to lift more.

  • i love these videos! one question though, have you ever heard of people being able to powerclean more than they can full clean or even front squat? i powercleaned 112 when my best front squat was 110! any tips on that? or just do loads of front squats and highbar back squats?

  • Excelent video so much to learn with it ...Thumbs Up guys Congrat..

  • @DooshWillis91 Twin City Barbell!
