Cheers Ry42Back, it's painful to hear Weller sing like this, maybe he didn't feel comfortable with the backing band and the audience, but like I said forget their differences, get a few beers down his neck with Buckler and Foxton, and have a ball!!!!!!!!!

@Tazbo34 I totally agree Tazbo i grew up with this band and as you say this performance was soul less and I think Weller was struggling to sing it myself.

is that the guitarist from my bloody valentine at stage left

What you give is what you get! Paul's answer to karma? If we communicate for 2 mins only it will be a start!

@Brianjonestown it doesn matter where i was when the song was written everybody knows this is a blatant rip off of taxman...go onto any other of the videos on youtube you clown...and youll see people saying the exact same thing as me!!! il admit people do rob bits of songs here and there ....BUT NOT THE BASSLINE, DRUMS,CHORDS AND EVEN A BIT OF THE SOLO!!! I like paul weller but kop the fuck on he robbed this from the late great george harrison........get out of paul wellers arse!!
-
@lenaldinho 30 years ago WHEN THE SONG WAS WRITTEN, you dumb fuck. Every great songwriter nicks here and there without theft, but you wouldn't know about that. You just want to come on here and slag Weller, so you may as well just say "I think Weller sucks" and that would be fine. But he's no thief no matter how much you repeat it.

@Brianjonestown what does were i was 30 years ago have to do with anything!!?? no he doesn one up it...he just rips it off..the chords the bass the drums....even the solo lack originality...the beatles piss all over paul weller from a height!!
-
@lenaldinho where were you 30 years ago asshole? Weller one-ups the Beatles on this one. It's a better song than Taxman. Nothing wrong with taking the original right out the window.

Great video, but without the heart and soul of Buckler and Foxton behind it, soul less, sounds as though he is going through the motions, its like Mick Jagger singing Satisfaction with a pub band, I adore Paul Weller, maybe its time to forget their differences and get the schoolmates he grew up with behind him, and live for the moment,"life is short and it's up to us to change ........" certainly rings true Mr Weller.
