  • it feels a little like you have rewritten our existing target list for this new project. i can not promise that the final solution will have everything included but we'll do our very best. And of course it will be as adjustable as it is now.

  • we are currently working on a version which combines the rigidity of our mount with the charging, waterproof and ANT+ functions of the Wahoo case. so, stop by at our homepage from time to time and see the latest news.

  • all the features you're asking for are already available. you can check our onlineshop nc-17shop[dot]de (sorry, only in german at the moment) and there you'll find a waterproof case with integrated ANT+ chip and also a micro-USB port for charging. Also you can find a hub-dynamo charger with integrated buffer battery so you can charge your iPhone at almost any time if necessary. An english description for the case is at nc-17[dot]de - I hope this answers your questions?

  • @nc17europe That said, I feel the current models' bracket won't accept add-on modules (were you - I hope - to sell these with watertight, ANT+ and charging-slot -equipped cases), as the retention pin appears fixed. This would necessitate a purchase of a separate, all-new handlebar bracket (incompatible with the current uppers :( ). Bummer! Also, please, see to it that the ANT+ antenna does work impeccably. I'm apprehensive of these (as much as I want one!) since reading a review or two…

  • @nc17europe Thank you for the compliment (I shall hold your reply as such) :) . In the meantime, my order just arrived (2 NC-17 bike mounts). The construction is of high quality (appears both resilient and fine!), the ratcheting mechanism is ingenious! I like it better than my RAM mounts (very good overall, but either not particularly adjustable and somewhat brittle (EZ-On), or tough as nails but coarse (their U-brackets). My compliments to you there!

  • @nc17europe Excellent! Two more requests, if I may: - Please, do make it compatible with the extant NC-17 handlebar bracket. This will appeal to those who already have the latter. This will also be the ecologically more responsible approach, and will not require to the user to change the whole assembly depending on the weather conditions and the type of use. That is, provided the swap requires no more than a few seconds time and no tools. - Please, make it as adjustable as the original.

  • Thank you, I've seen them. I ordered 2 of your cases yesterday. By mid-next-week I should have them. Well, the Wahoo case, although waterproof and sporting an integrated ANT+ sensor (albeit, a slow one, according to some reviews), lacks both the versatility and the rigidity of your mount. Your mount, upon the other hand, has no waterproofing and lacks an ANT+ sensor integration (that is, while allowing the device to charge simultaneously - a property the Wahoo case contains). Why not make your

  • iPhone is the last device to be used on anything over an-hour-and-a-half long ride without a simultaneous charge, be it from a hub dynamo or from an external battery (will require at the very least 4 times iPhone 4's battery capacity to keep the device charged through a day, while running a navigation software and playing music). Say, I plug the ANT+ sensor onto the iPhone. No interface left for charging, then! What about rains? Without weatherproofing capability the mount is useless.
